Santander BillPay

Designed, developed, and managed the UK's first online banking general bill payment system for Girobank, later to be acquired by Santander. The system transacted over £1bn during its busiest week.

I worked for over 15 years on the project from the original design and build to managing the client and project as product owner from the supplier side. 

• Managed a dedicated team of up to 8 people consisting of software developers, network & security specialists, investigation, and technical support operatives.
  
  
• Managing daily development team stand-ups, weekly client project review calls and monthly face-to-face client meetings to review and provide a retrospective.
  
  
• Worked Directly With The Marketing and Management Teams In Bootle Liverpool and London, the Infrastructure Team In Milton Keynes and the Product Team in Spain
  
  
• Producing technical documentation, system reports, financial breakdowns and reports and system flow documentation.
  
  
• Was responsible for managing ad-hoc developments and maintenance work.
  
  
• Handled elevated security and fraud issues.
  
  
• Team collaboration using Slack and implemented Zoho PM for project management.

BillPay was decommissioned in 2021 when Santander took all their payment services in-house.
