How to find Google and AI friendly content for your blog

If you ever sit staring at a blank screen wondering “What on earth do I write about next?”… Google has already done the hard work for you.

It is right there on the results page and most people scroll past it without realising how useful it is… the People Also Ask box.

You know when you start typing into Google and it starts giving you prompts for questions, those little prompts are not random, they are real things real people type into Google.

They are the exact problems your customers want solving. If you answer those questions on your blog, you give Google something helpful to show people, and that’s another way to start getting steady traffic.

What “People Also Ask” actually is

If you run a garden business, you can simply start writing a generic question such as: “Why does my garden” you will usually see a small box of questions appear below your search. That is called “People Also Ask”. Click one question and more appear. Keep clicking and it keeps growing. It is basically a free list of content ideas based on real behaviour.

Why it works so well

Most small businesses struggle with content because they do not know what people want to read. People Also Ask removes the guesswork. It shows you:

  • The questions your customers are asking
  • The things they are confused about
  • The follow up questions they usually have
  • The language they use

It is better than most keyword tools because it is based on real searches, not estimates.

How to use it in five minutes

This is the simple process I use.

1. Search your main service on Google

Nothing fancy. Just type what you do as the start of a question.

Examples:

  • “How does hypnotherapy”
  • “Do I need a plumber”
  • “Does SEO help”

2. Find the People Also Ask box

You will see questions like:

  • “How does hypnotherapy work for anxiety”
  • “Do I need a plumber to install a radiator”
  • “Does SEO help in digital marketing”

Each one is a ready made blog post.

3. Click a question

Usually when you click a question, more appear, and they get more specific. This is where you get the good stuff. Google is showing you what people want to know next.

4. Turn each question into a blog post

If the question is “Does SEO help in digital marketing” your blog post becomes something like:

How SEO is the best help for your digital marketing

Keep it clear. Keep it honest. Use examples from your own work. That is it.

5. Do it again next week

You will never run out of ideas.

Why Google rewards this

Google wants to show helpful answers. If your blog answers real questions in a simple way, you build trust and authority. You also pick up long tail traffic that adds up over time. It is a slow burn but it works.

It also helps with AI

This method works brilliantly for AI because you are feeding it questions that people are actually asking.

When you write content based on real search behaviour, AI tools pick it up and understand the context far better. It knows what the question is, what the intent behind it is and how your answer fits into the bigger picture.

That means your content is more likely to be used, summarised or quoted by AI systems because it is clear, helpful and directly tied to real user queries. if you answer real questions, both Google and AI know exactly who to send your way. It’s the way search is going.

A YorkshireTechy example

If someone searches “technical SEO for small businesses” the People Also Ask box might show:

  • “What are the most effective SEO strategies in 2025”
  • “How long does SEO take to show results”
  • “What tools improve SEO performance”

Each one is a blog post that brings in people who are already interested in what you do.

It really is a great starting point if you want more traffic and more ideas. It is free. It is fast. It is based on real searches. Google is literally telling you what to write about. All you need to do is answer the questions with your experiences and authority 😎
